• Information Processes and Technology (IPT) describes information-based systems. It covers a set of seven recognised data processes, the technologies and human participants that support them, and the social and ethical issues involved. IPT also introduces a range of project management tools and methods.

  • Legal Studies is designed to foster intellectual, social and moral development by empowering students to think critically on the role of law and legal institutions in society. This is achieved through a review of selected legal rules, institutions and processes at the domestic and international level, a demystification of terminology and a focus on change, effectiveness, dispute resolution and justice.

  • Geography is an investigation of the world which provides an accurate description and interpretation of the varied character of the earth and its people. It is a key discipline through which students develop the ability to recognise and understand environmental change and the interactions which take place in our world.

  • The HSC course focuses on the management of an economy and is therefore essentially macroeconomic in nature. It examines the external framework in which the Australian economy operates. The course investigates the impact of the global economy on the Australian economy and the link between economic issues and the management of an economy, with specific reference to the Australian economy.

  • This course helps students develop an understanding of society by looking at the different interactions and investigating their interdependent nature.

  • Contemporary society is characterised by rapid social and technological change, cultural diversity, conflicting values and competitive pressures.It is an interdisciplinary course drawing upon selected components of family studies, sociology, development psychology and students' general life experiences.
